MGL thoroughly assesses every single piece of gear we bring in. Then we give it a grade based on condition, appearance, and functionality. When you buy a piece of gear from us, be sure to check the condition grading before purchasing. 

Grade 10 – Brand New

  • Item is unused, never opened or installed.

  • In original packaging with factory seals (if applicable).

  • Includes all accessories, manuals, and parts.

  • Zero cosmetic or functional defects.​

 Grade 9 – Like New

  • Item appears unused but may have been opened.

  • No signs of wear, scratches, or use.

  • Fully functional, includes all original parts and accessories.

  • Packaging may be lightly worn or opened.

Grade 8 – Excellent Condition

  • Lightly used with minimal signs of wear (e.g., tiny scuffs or minor blemishes).

  • Fully functional with no repairs needed.

  • All key components present (some minor accessories or manual might be missing).

  • Professionally cleaned and tested.

Grade 7 – Very Good Condition

  • Used regularly but well maintained.

  • Some noticeable cosmetic wear (e.g., light scratches, small dents).

  • Fully operational and reliable.

  • Minor parts/accessories may be missing.

Grade 6 – Good Condition

  • Moderate cosmetic wear (scratches, marks, faded areas).

  • Fully functional with no major issues.

  • May be missing some non-critical accessories or parts.

  • Suitable for regular use without repair.

 

Grade 5 – Fair Condition

  • Heavier wear and cosmetic imperfections (e.g., worn finishes, visible dents).

  • Still functional, but may show signs of aging or require basic servicing.

  • Some parts or accessories missing.

  • Still useful but not attractive for resale without disclosure.

 

Grade 4 – Acceptable / Functional But Rough

  • Major cosmetic wear; significant scratches, dents, discoloration.

  • Functional but may be noisy, inconsistent, or temperamental.

  • Likely needs minor repair or refurbishment to reach optimal performance.

  • Best for parts or non-critical use.

 

Grade 3 – Poor Condition

  • Heavily used with extensive cosmetic and functional issues.

  • Partially functional; may have intermittent problems or limited functionality.

  • Requires repairs to be fully usable.

  • Best for repair-savvy buyers or for parts only.

 

Grade 2 – Very Poor Condition

  • Barely functional or non-functional.

  • Major damage (e.g., cracked housings, broken parts, corrosion).

  • Significant repairs or restoration needed.

  • Valuable only for parts or salvage.

 

Grade 1 – Broken / Non-Functional

  • Non-working and beyond economical repair.

  • Severely damaged or missing critical components.

  • Only useful for parts or recycling.
